I just got 30 meld from 1 canister, but I figured maybe it was something special since it was a crashed ship. For the first couple of missions I was getting 8 max, from 1 I spawned right next to. That way you'll see Meld canister and/or aliens, but will be able to run away next turn without being exposed. I installed the newest version and ive noticed something weird, im getting 30+ meld from canisters. Smoke grenades will always improve alien accuracy. Panicking soldiers will always have 100 to hit. The panicking soldier will kill a soldier and start a panic chain. The alien will do just enough damage to not kill him, but to cause him to panic. These are values from the vanilla version, but the aim and will debuff are still correct for long war (can confirm. Aliens will always hit soldiers hunkering down behind high cover. The trick to NOT activating pods is to rarely stop right at the full cover corners - rather, seek out positions where you only move invisible into cover, but can't see beyond it. Causes the target to lose grip on reality, inflicting penalties to Aim -25, Will -25, and mobility, and doing 5 base damage. Haven't tried 2 scouts yet but could be interesting, too. What I did so far even on Large Landed was to just dash around concealed Scout solo. That locks your scout, and even if you run and activate the pod, they will prevent you from moving on. I know it was initially changed to permit 3 canisters per mission to spawn, but I'm fine with limiting it to 2. Announced at Gamescom 2013, XCOM: Enemy Within adds new abilities, upgrades, weapons, and a new soldier class to combat new enemy threats. 150 posts I've been searching for awhile now for how Long War inhibits the UI panels from showing up on meld containers. The real risk is stumbling on an alien pod and not being able to run away without activating it (or worse, them flanking you although that's unlikely). XCOM: Enemy Within is an expansion pack for XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It was released on November 12th, 2013 in North America and November 15th 2013 elsewhere. Steel Martyr: this is supposed to trigger when you equip 3 sub-systems onto a MEC this does not work in Long War, even 3 of the same, or 3 different ones. Adding Motion Tracker to that improves chances of course. - Tingling Sensation: one of the best Gene mods you will ever choose, but doesnt give the achievement. On most maps (downed UFOs, abduction) it's very easy to move around the edges of the map and find meld. Note that certain items in this list should either not be spawned, for possible game breakage, or are already given in infinite amounts to the player. The file is 'DefaultGameCore. Another super-effective way is to rush for a Concealment scout with Low profile, and give him light weapon (+3 mobility). A: Long War includes an alternate config file that contains most of the settings of the game.
